Sound source design
The lecture hall is mainly used for various types of presentations, meetings, and artistic performances, with speech reports and meetings being the main ones. The designed sound sources mainly include computers, song machines, conference microphones GM-6500T series, wireless microphones GM-9200U, wired microphones GM-340, etc.
Sound reinforcement design
Considering that the lecture hall is a stepped room, in order to achieve uniform sound field, the sound system design of this lecture hall consists of a main amplifier, auxiliary speakers, bass speakers, and return speakers. The auxiliary speakers mainly serve as auxiliary and surround speakers.
Design of main amplifier and main amplifier
As a direct indicator of audio system quality, speakers play an important role. As the main speaker for sound reinforcement, it is required to have a sweet tone, with almost the same coverage range of high and low pitched units, ensuring that the sound pressure received by the front and rear seats of the entire audience is uniform. Therefore, we have designed to use two dual 15 inch PV grade professional speakers GM-PV750 as the main amplifier for audio and video positioning and overall sound reinforcement. Based on the power of the linear array speaker, we design to use one professional amplifier GM-9800G for coordination.
Design of auxiliary speakers and auxiliary amplifiers
The area of the lecture hall is relatively large. In order to ensure a uniform sound field while considering the coverage of the middle area, we have designed to place three auxiliary speakers GM-PV450 on both sides of the lecture hall, and three professional amplifiers GM-9550G to be used in conjunction with auxiliary speakers.
Design of bass speakers, return speakers, and amplifiers
One of the main functions of the lecture hall is artistic performance activities, and the performance effect is of utmost importance. Therefore, we have designed to install two single 18 inch subwoofers GM-PV800 at the entrance of the stage; Four 12 inch return speakers, GM-PV300F, are designed to ensure the bass and stage effects of artistic performances. Based on the power of the speakers, we will use one GM-9800G and two GM-9400G speakers to complement the subwoofer and return speakers.
The use of the lecture hall is mainly for daily school meetings, and we design and use a wireless conference system GM-6500T for users. This system has the characteristics of high fidelity of sound, high signal-to-noise ratio, no delay, etc. It uses a new type of anti squealing single direction high sensitivity cartridge to make the sound quality more perfect. According to the actual needs of the school, we have designed and installed 8 microphone units, consisting of 1 wireless conference system chairman unit GM-6500C and 7 wireless conference system attendance units GM-6500D. At the same time, we are equipped with a charging box GM-PW16 and a frequency shifter GM-6600F. The charging box ensures the charging system of the microphone unit, saves energy and environmental protection, and eliminates the process of replacing batteries. The use of the frequency shifter can avoid the whistling phenomenon of the microphone during conference use.
In order to ensure a uniform conference sound field, we have designed and installed 12 6.5-inch ceiling speakers GM-MT007 for users. Each speaker is an independent channel that can independently control its balance, sound pressure, and delay to balance the sound field. We have designed to use 6 GM-9180G speakers in conjunction with ceiling speakers and return speakers.
Audio processing design
Whether it is meetings or performance activities, the requirements for sound quality are relatively high. Audio processing is performed according to usage needs, such as sound variation and delay functions. Therefore, the design of audio processing equipment is also one of the key points in system design. The audio processing equipment we design and use mainly includes the following types:
The function of the mixer is to mix and process audio signals from various sources according to requirements, which can be divided into multiple groups of outputs. It is the core part of the audio system and directly affects the overall performance of the system;
In order to fully utilize the return speaker, we have designed and used one equalizer to modify the sound color, allowing the performer to better grasp the rhythm and overall effect;
The effector mainly beautifies and modifies the sound, making the on-site use effect more attractive;
The audio processor is the central control part of audio processing, which integrates functions such as voltage limiter, frequency divider, delayer, etc., making the audio processing part of the system more powerful.
In order to facilitate control and management, we design and use a power sequencer to achieve centralized control and management of the equipment through power control, which is convenient for the school to manage the equipment and facilitate later maintenance.
